Destination: Unknown
December 18, 2010Walking down my road with my new-found joie de vivre, I chanced upon a path. It was not a clear path that forked from my road, but it was there and accessible. I looked at it curiously with a mixed feeling of desire to tread it and of fear that i was forbidden to switch to it. I looked away and walked on until a fellow journeyman called my attention and dared me to try it out.
I dared. And here I am.
A new and different path filled with promises of things I have not thought of would be there just too far into the horizon for me to see yet. I am psyched and reinvigorated. Though my question is still unanswered.
I do not see yet my destination. I do not yet have a reason for existing. But maybe, just maybe, I will find something in this path. Hope — that is what I found. It is a treasure to find this, though it is a free bird that will simply fly away eventually. For now, the songs of Hope lift me up everyday and keeps a skip in my steps.
We shall see where this path will lead.
“We shall not cease from exploration and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started… and know the place for the first time.” - T.S. Elliot
